Utilities

System utilities provide essential tools for configuration, data management, and operational efficiency. These features support authentication, bulk data operations, warehouse organization, and scheduling across the entire platform.

Authentication & Security

Single Sign-On (SSO) Link user accounts to organizational authentication services including Active Directory, Smart Card, and CAC authentication. Eliminates password management while maintaining security through centralized authentication policies.

Data Management

Import/Export Bulk data operations for all major modules including items, inventory, purchase orders, shipping orders, customers, suppliers, and stock transactions. Supports CSV, XLS, and XLSX file formats with template downloads and validation.

Warehouse Operations

Location Barcodes Configure barcode label formats for items, locations, serials, assets, and general purposes. Includes bulk location import and preview generation for 6 label types with system-wide and warehouse-specific defaults.

Warehouse Map Visual drag-and-drop interface for organizing warehouse locations into zones and setting pick paths. Supports up to 50 zones with optimized picking sequences for efficient order fulfillment.

Lockout Types

Two types of lockouts can block access:

IP Lockout - Triggered when an IP address exceeds the maximum login attempts threshold (default: 10) within 10 minutes. Blocks all users at that IP. Reset via Reset Lockout Session in Utilities. The reset reports which IPs and usernames were cleared.

User Account Lockout - Triggered when a user fails password reset checks multiple times. Locks only that user’s account. Resolve by editing the user account in System → Accounts → System Users using the Locked Out filter.

Auditing - All failed login attempts are recorded in the Login Activity report. Filter for code IPD BAD AUTH (Desktop) or IPM BAD AUTH (Mobile) to identify brute-force activity.

Reset Lockout Session

When multiple failed login attempts occur from a single network address, the system automatically blocks further attempts to prevent brute force attacks. The threshold is configurable via Max Login Attempts in Security Options.

To reset a lockout:

  1. Navigate to Utilities → Other Utilities → Maintenance
  2. Click Reset Lockout Session
  3. Recent lockouts are cleared

Note: This is different from an individual user account lockout, which is resolved by editing the user’s account directly.

Debug Mode

Toggle Debug Mode enables or disables debug output for your current session. It does not affect other users. Requires Administrator access.

System Utilities

Available to Super Admins only. These tools run maintenance corrections directly against the database without a confirmation prompt.

License Information

The Utilities page shows current session usage against your license limits.

Sessions are considered active if they had activity within the last 30 minutes. The User Activity section shows average and maximum daily users over the past 30 days. Super Admins also see peak concurrent sessions.

Scheduling & Documentation

Shipping Manifests Create Bills of Lading that consolidate multiple shipping orders into single shipments. Group orders by carrier, route, or customer with weight totals, piece counts, and freight documentation for efficient shipping coordination.
