Purchase Order Management

InventoryPro runs the full procurement workflow — supplier management, cost tracking, and accountability for every inbound shipment of raw materials and components. When goods hit the receiving dock, the system pre-populates line items from the PO, validates quantities, and flags over-receipts for review.

  • Line-item partial receipt tracking with auto status updates
  • Automatic backorder generation for remaining quantities
  • Supplier catalog pricing defaults reduce manual errors
  • Lead time tracking for accurate demand planning

The same receiving workflow is available on mobile devices. Warehouse staff scan inbound items with a handheld scanner, confirm quantities against the PO, and record the receipt directly from the floor - no desktop required.

Shipping and Fulfillment

Outbound fulfillment follows a pick, pack, and ship workflow built for B2B distribution. Shipping orders capture customer details, line items, committed inventory, and delivery requirements. Stock is allocated in real time using FIFO logic.

Pick lists direct warehouse staff to the correct locations in optimized sequence. Packing workflows move items through a verified packed status before shipping, and the system generates packing slips and shipping labels automatically. Partial shipments update order line status and can trigger automatic backorder creation.

Approval workflows can require supervisory sign-off before orders are released for fulfillment, preventing unauthorized shipments.

Quick Orders and Appointments

Not every receipt needs a full PO. InventoryPro includes quick orders for fast, low-overhead transactions and an appointment module for tracking expected deliveries without formal purchase orders. Quick orders cut the steps needed to move material when speed matters more than paperwork.

Appointments track expected inbound shipments from suppliers, consignment partners, or inter-plant transfers without a PO. Useful for recurring deliveries, distribution center operations, and informal stock arrangements. When goods arrive, appointment receipts pre-populate the receiving screen with expected quantities and supplier details.

Multi-Pick and Batch Processing

High-volume distribution needs concurrent order processing. InventoryPro multi-pick consolidates picks across several orders, grouping items by warehouse location instead of by individual order. Operators pick once per bin for all applicable orders, then sort during packing. Fewer floor traversals, higher throughput during peak shipping windows.

Batch processing applies to putaway too. When multiple receipts land at the dock simultaneously, operators stage inbound material and run putaway in a single optimized route. Barcode scanning confirms every pick and putaway so accuracy holds at higher volumes.

Delivery and Returns Tracking

InventoryPro tracks deliveries on both sides. Inbound mailroom-style tracking monitors package arrivals and internal distribution. Outbound delivery tracking follows shipments made with your own fleet. Mobile signature capture lets drivers and recipients sign electronically, creating proof of delivery linked to the order record.

Returns processing covers customer returns against shipping orders and supplier returns against POs. Each return updates order status, adjusts quantities, and keeps credit and authorization docs for reconciliation. Return reason codes feed quality analysis and supplier scorecards.

Forecasting and Automated Restocking

Better procurement decisions start with system-calculated demand signals. InventoryPro analyzes current stock, open order commitments, usage history, and supplier lead times to recommend reorder quantities and timing. The system suggests min/max adjustments based on actual consumption, keeping your safety stock right for production materials.

When stock drops below a reorder point, the system generates alerts and can produce POs with minimal manual input. For manufacturers managing thousands of SKUs across multiple plants, automated replenishment means fewer emergency purchases and fewer line stoppages.
